Manage Location Custom Music on Hold
Overview
By default, system-defined music plays when calls are on hold or parked. With the Location Custom Music on Hold feature, you can choose different music for all calls on hold and parked calls, or for internal calls (on hold or parked) at a particular location.
Your custom music must be a WAV or WMA file. The maximum file size is 10,000KB, which provides up to 5 minutes of music.
View and Select Custom Music for your Location
To view location custom music settings
- Open the AT&T Voice DNA Administrator Dashboard. (For help with logging in, see Log In.)
- In the Select Location field, specify the location. Then, under Locations, click Manage Location Settings.
The Location Specific Settings page appears with the SETTINGS tab selected.
- To view your custom music settings, under Custom Music on Hold, click Manage Location Custom Music on Hold.
The Location Details page appears, with the Settings tab selected.
To choose custom music for a location
- Follow the steps for To view location custom music settings.
- To choose custom music for calls on hold or parked calls:
- Select Upload Custom Music File.
- Click Upload New and select the WAV or WMA file. The maximum file size is 10,000KB. (For more information on file specifications, see Music File Specifications below.)
- To play different music for internal calls:
- Select Upload Custom Music File.
- Click Upload New and select the WAV or WMA file. The maximum file size is 10,000KB. (For more information about file specifications, see Music File Specifications below.)
Note: To play no music during internal and external calls (on hold or parked), uncheck Enable Music during Call Hold or Enable Music during Call Park.
Music File Specifications
Be sure that your WAV and WMA files match these specifications:
For WAV files:
- Linear PCM
- 16.000 kHz
- 16 bit mono
- WAV file type
For WMA files:
- Linear PCM
- 16.000 kHz
- 16 bit mono
- WMA file type
