Change a User's Account Code Status

As a Department Administrator for the AT&T IP Flexible Reach Customer Portal, you can assign and unassign your group's account code status (mandatory or optional) to individual users in your department. Users then enter an account code when making a call outside their group. You can view and edit account code status from the individual's User page. For information about account code status, see About Account Codes.

View a User's Current Account Code Status

You can quickly find out whether a particular user is assigned your group's mandatory or optional account code status.

To view a user's current account code status

  1. From any page in the Customer Portal, click RESOURCES in the main menu bar. The Department page appears.
  2. Click Department Users. The Users List page appears.
  3. Click the user's name. The User Details page appears.
  4. Click the Outbound Features tab. The user's account code status appears:
    • Not Required—The user isn't currently assigned to use account codes.
    • Mandatory—The user must enter an account code when making calls outside the group.
    • Optional—The user can enter an account code when making calls outside the group, but it isn't required.

If you assign an account code status to users, inform the users which account codes they must use for which phone numbers. To be validated, the account code only has to meet the group's account code length requirement; it doesn't have to match any of the codes provisioned for the group.

Note: To view account code data, run the Account Code Summary Report.
