How to Use Search Tools in the Customer Portal
Search from the Customer Portal Homepage
Search from the Premier Homepage
You'll find search tools throughout the AT&T IP Flexible Reach Customer Portal. Use these tools to find users, groups, departments, administrators, and more. You can even conduct some searches from the Premier homepage.
From the Customer Portal, you can download lists of helpful data, such as a list of all the users in a particular group or a list of all the groups in your enterprise.
How to Use Search Tools in the Customer Portal
The Customer Portal provides two types of search tools: standard search tools and single field search tools.
Standard Search Tools
Standard search tools appear on most list pages throughout the Customer Portal; for example, on the Users List page and the Group List page.
If a search tool isn't open, click the arrow icon (). The tool opens.
A standard search tool has three fields or dropdown lists.
- The Search By drop-down list contains a search option, such as Last Name, First Name, or Public Number.
- The Condition drop-down list consists of search modifiers, such as Starts With, Contains, or Equal To.
- The Value search field or drop-down list at the right is for your search term.
Notice the plus sign (+) or minus sign (-) to the right of each search row.
- To add rows, click the plus sign .
- To remove rows, click the minus sign .
To use a standard search tool
These are general instructions for using the Customer Portal search tools. The specifics of search tools vary between pages.
- From the Search By drop-down list, select a search term.
- From the Condition drop-down list, select a search modifier.
- In the Value search field, enter a search value, or select a search value from the drop-down list.
- Click Search. The search results are displayed. The search result set can contain up to 1,000 records. If there are more than 1,000 records in the search results, refine your search to narrow the results.
- To add search criteria, click the plus sign .
- To remove search criteria, click the minus sign .

You can find standard search tools on the following Customer Portal pages:
- The Users List page
- The Group List page
- The Administrators List page
- The Trunk Call Routing List page
- The Group Trunk Group List page
- The Schedules List page
- The Public Number Ranges page
Single Field Search Tools
Use single field search tools when you know the exact information you're searching for, such as a group ID, a specific phone number, or a user's name.
To use a single field search tool in the Customer Portal
- In the Search field, enter a value.
- Click the magnifying glass icon ().
Search from the Customer Portal Homepage
From the Customer Portal homepage, you can search for trunk call routing schemes, telephone numbers, extensions, groups, group names, and departments.
Search for Trunk Call Routing Schemes
Use the Trunk Call Routing tile on the Customer Portal homepage to search for a specific trunk call routing scheme.
To search for a trunk call routing scheme
- In the search box in the Trunk Call Routing tile, enter a trunk call routing name.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear on the Trunk Call Routing page.
From this tile you can also:
- Go directly to the Trunk Call Routing page, where you can see or manage trunk call routing. Click View all Trunk Call Routing.
- Go directly to the Create Trunk Call Routing page, where you can create trunk call routing schemes. Click Create Trunk Call Routing.
Search for Groups
Use the Group Directory tile on the Customer Portal homepage to search for specific groups by group name.
To search for a particular group
- In the search box in the Group Directory tile, enter a group name.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear on the Group page.
From this tile you can also:
- Go directly to the Group List page, where you can see, search, and edit groups. Click View all Groups.
- Go directly to the Group Trunk Groups page, where you can see, search, and edit group trunk groups. Click View all Group Trunk Groups.
Search for Departments
Use the Department tile on the Customer Portal homepage to search for specific departments by name.
To search for a particular department
- In the search box in the Department tile, enter a department name.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear on the Department List page.
From this tile you can also:
- Go directly to the Department List page, where you can see, search, and edit groups. Click View all Departments.
- Go directly to the Department List page, where the Search tool is preset to search for enterprise departments. Click View all Enterprise Departments.
- Go directly to the Department List page, where the Search tool is preset to search for group departments. Click View all Group Departments.
Search for Directory Numbers
Use the Directory Number tile on the Customer Portal homepage to view all telephone numbers, or to search for a specific public number, a range of public numbers, or a range of public numbers by extension.
To search for a specific public number
- In the Search User Public Number search box of the Directory Number tile, enter a public number.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear on the Users List page.
To search for a range of public numbers
- In the Search Public Number Range From search box of the Directory Number tile, enter a public number.
- In the To search box at the right, enter a second public number that specifies the end of the search range.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear on the Users Number Range page.
To search for a range of extensions
- In the Search Extension Range From search box of the Directory Number tile, enter an extension.
- In the To search box at the right, enter a second extension that specifies the end of the search range.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear on the User Number Range page.
Search for Group Names
Use the Group Name Look-up tile on the Customer Portal homepage to find a group name by searching with the group ID.
To search for a group name
- In the search box of the Group Search tile, enter a group ID.
- Click the magnifying glass icon (). Results appear below the search box. If no results are found, a message appears above the search box.
Search from the Premier Homepage
You can search for groups, users, and administrators from the Premier homepage.
Search for Groups and Users
Use the Manage Groups and Users tile on the Premier homepage to search for groups by Group ID number or users by public number.
To search for groups and users
- Log in to Premier.
- In the Manage Groups and Users tile, select Group ID or Public number from the dropdown search list on the left.
- In the search field to the right, enter a group ID to search for a group, or enter a public number to search for an individual user.
- Click the magnifying glass icon ().
- To open the Group List page in the Customer Portal, click Advanced group search.
- To open the Users List page in the Customer Portal, click Advanced user search.
Search for Administrators
Use the Administrator and User Profiles tile on the Premier homepage to search for a particular administrator.
To search for an administrator
- Log in to Premier.
- In the Last Name field of the Administrator and User Profiles tile, enter the last name of an administrator.
- Click the magnifying glass icon ().
- To go to the Manage Administrator Profiles page in the Customer Portal, click Advanced Administrators search.
Lists You Can Download
Throughout the Customer Portal, you'll find downloadable lists of helpful data. The lists are downloaded as comma-separated values (CSV) files, a type of spreadsheet.
To download a list from the Customer Portal
- Click the list name. A File Download window opens.
- Click Save. The file is downloaded to your default directory (or you can select a different directory).
